Fun title.
I don't know much about this movie (never seen it), interesting cast of the era, and a late-60's Universal picture making its Blu-Ray debut with Kino-Lorber is my catnip so I'll be looking forward to the release date and be buying this one as soon as I can.Saturday’s Facebook Announcement:
Coming Soon on Blu-ray!

It used to play on local TV in NYC metro area.Wow! I don't know that I've ever heard of this one (and I'd have been ~12 when it came out and paid attention to movies so you'd think I would have heard of it). It's a sure fire purchase as I tend to like Doris Day movies.
I looked it up and the plot sounds very familiar - but I also think a similar plot was done before (possibly with Maureen Ohara?). Could be either... too many years and too many movies seen, often only once for those outside horror and SF.It used to play on local TV in NYC metro area.
Nina Blackwood? Was she introducing it?I saw Vice Squad opening night at the RKO Stanley Warner in Wayne, NJ with a sold-out audience. I have never heard so many loud vocal comments hurled at the screen (not because they didn't like what was going on) from an audience in my life, what fun that night was. Poor Nina Blackwood.
Nina Blackwood played a prostitute in the film.Nina Blackwood? Was she introducing it?
What names these actors have… “Wings,” “Grand,” “Season”… wild.
I watched it opening night too. I’m not a fan of this movie.I saw Vice Squad opening night at the RKO Stanley Warner in Wayne, NJ with a sold-out audience. I saw Terror In The Aisles on TV when I was probably 8 or 9 so that's where I had first heard of Vice Squad too. It was probably the last one of the movies featured in Terror that I eventually saw but it's a decent sleazy exploitation movie.I first learned about Vice Squad through the compilation film Terror in the Aisles, which was like a cinematic Rosetta Stone of horror movies and thrillers both well known as well as lesser known at that time. I will agree that it's undeniably sleazy, but I will concur with Leonard Maltin's opinion on Wings Hauser in that he was well cast as the sadistic pimp Ramrod.
I was in high school when this was a staple on cable TV. A friend of mine frequently referenced "Ramrod, the vicious killer pimp" in conversation, usually to make an unflattering comparison to whatever teacher incurred her wrath at a given moment...I first learned about Vice Squad through the compilation film Terror in the Aisles, which was like a cinematic Rosetta Stone of horror movies and thrillers both well known as well as lesser known at that time. It appears the Kino Insider stopped updating that first post with that information almost two years ago.I remember that the first post on this thread used to include the titles that had gone out of print. Was that list moved to another thread on the site or is it gone completely?
