Kill a Dragon (1967)
• Theatrical Trailer
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 91 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated PG-13
Soldier of fortune Jack Palance (Attack) squares off against warlord Fernando Lamas (100 Rifles) in the explosive action-adventure, Kill a Dragon. When a dangerous load of nitroglycerin lands on a beach near Hong Kong, the islanders claim it as their own. But the powerful Nico Patrai (Lamas) threatens to destroy the island and its inhabitants if the cargo is not given to him in three days. The villagers turn to swaggering mercenary Rick Masters (Palance) and his team of karate experts to help smuggle the nitroglycerin off their island and rid them of the ruthless Patrai and his henchmen once and for all. Helmed by veteran television and Hollywood filmmaker Michael D. Moore (The Fastest Guitar Alive) and co-starring Aldo Ray (And Hope to Die) and Aliza Gur (From Russia with Love), Kill a Dragon mixes rousing action with all the wonder and excitement of beautiful Hong Kong!

Don’t Tell Her It’s Me (1990)
• Brand New 2K Master
• THE BOYFRIEND SCHOOL Alternate Opening Title
• Reversible THE BOYFRIEND SCHOOL Art
• Theatrical Trailer
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 102 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated PG-13
Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby) teams with Jami Gertz (The Lost Boys, Less Than Zero) and Shelley Long (The Money Pit, TV’s Cheers) in this funny story about true love and false identity! Painfully boring Gus (Guttenberg) isn’t exactly ladies’ man material—at least not until his meddling romance-writer sister (Long) gets hold of him. Going from geek to chic in a few easy steps, he becomes “Lobo”—a long-haired, leather-clad hunk ripped from the erotic fantasies of his dream girl, Emily (Gertz)! But can true love be truly true…if it’s based on fiction? Co-starring Kyle MacLachlan (Blue Velvet, The Hidden) and Mädchen Amick (TV’s Twin Peaks and I’m Dangerous Tonight), Don’t Tell Her It’s Me (also known as The Boyfriend School) is a sparkling romantic comedy chock-full of charm!

Sorry, I didn't mean to cause any problems. I know all of the titles I mentioned are August releases. With all of the recent cover reveals for other August titles, I was curious when some of the others might pop up.

Yes, I suppose they won that contest as well, although it

Yes, Amanda was pretty hot back then. I loved her in the oddly absent (from Blu-ray) t.v. series MAX HEADROOM, and was in an X-FILES episode.

Question: will this release come with a standard Blu-ray? Not my favorite movie, as I've indicated, but I might purchase it.

They Went That-A-Way & That-A-Way (1978)
• Theatrical Trailer
• TV Spots
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 95 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated PG
Comedy legend Tim Conway (The Apple Dumpling Gang, The Private Eyes, Dorf on Golf, TV’s The Carol Burnett Show) and Chuck McCann (C.H.O.M.P.S.) break out the laughs as two dipstick deputies who go undercover in a maximum-security prison. But when the only man who knows their true identities croaks, these jailbirds hatch a zany plot to fly the coop—and discover that sometimes even justice needs a little correction! Bursting with boisterous sight gags, slapstick buffoonery and a wild finale, this madcap caper is so comical…it’s criminal! Co-starring Reni Santoni (Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid), Richard Kiel (The Longest Yard), Lenny Montana (The Godfather), Dub Taylor (Gator), Grace Zabriskie (TV’s Twin Peaks) and Sonny Shroyer & Ben Jones (Enos & Cooter of TV’s The Dukes of Hazzard), They Went That-A-Way & That-A-Way fires off hilarity in all directions—this-a-way, that-a-way and the Con-a-way! Screenplay by Tim Conway (The Prize Fighter) and co-directed by Stuart E. McGowan (The Billion Dollar Hobo) and Edward Montagne (The Reluctant Astronaut).

Since the announcement [for THE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE] doesn't say that this is a new transfer and that the ratio is 2.35:1, there's no telling what we'll get, picture-wise. Almost certainly to be in mono sound.

Little Man, What Now (1934)
• Brand New 2K Master
• NEW Audio Commentary by Director Allan Arkush and Film Historian/Filmmaker Daniel Kremer
• Trailers
• Optional English Subtitles

B&W 98 Minutes 1.37:1 Not Rated
Margaret Sullavan (Next Time We Love) stars in this deeply moving romantic drama by the great Frank Borzage (Bad Girl, A Farewell to Arms, Desire, Disputed Passage). Fired for marrying his sweetheart Emma (Sullavan) instead of his boss’s daughter, Hans (Douglass Montgomery, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) moves his pregnant wife to Berlin where he gets a job as a salesman. Dismissed for insulting a customer, Hans has only Emma’s love to sustain him as he seeks opportunity in a country where work is scarce and the Nazis are rising to power. Blending themes of politics and social crisis with love and compassion, this Pre-Code classic showcases one of cinema’s most impactful auteurs, Borzage, and a wonderful cast that includes Alan Hale (The Good Fairy), Fred Kohler (Goin’ to Town), Mae Marsh (Intolerance), Hedda Hopper (Skinner’s Dress Suit) and Paul Fix (The Ghost Breakers).

Margaret Sullavan (The Good Fairy) stars opposite James Stewart (Made for Each Other) in his first leading role in Next Time We Love, a captivating romantic drama co-starring Ray Milland (The Lost Weekend). When newlywed reporter Christopher Tyler (Stewart) is posted to Rome, his actress wife, Cicely (Sullavan), refuses to go with him, preferring to stay in New York. Devoting themselves to their thriving careers, they become increasingly estranged, seeing each other only in passing. When a longtime admirer (Milland) proposes she get a divorce and marry him instead, Cicely must decide what she loves most…her husband, friend or career. The heart-tugging story by Ursula Parrott (There’s Always Tomorrow) springs to life courtesy of director Edward H. Griffith (The Animal Kingdom) and writer Melville Baker (The Gilded Lily).

Coming to Blu-ray August 9th from Kino Classics!

Kamikaze Hearts (1986)
Directed by Juliet Bashore
Starring: Tigr Mennett, Sharon Mitchell, Jon Martin, Sparky Vasque, Jerry Abrahms

Alternately distressing, instructive, contestable, and fascinating, Juliet Bashore’s quasi-documentary plunge into the 1980s porn industry takes an unsparing look at issues of misogyny, drug abuse, and exploitation via the story of two women caught in a toxic romance: the naive newcomer Tigr and her partner, the magnetic, imperious porn veteran Sharon Mitchell. Mesmerizing and unsettling, Kamikaze Hearts is both a fascinating record of pre-gentrification San Francisco’s X-rated underground and an intense, searing love story. The film offers a disturbing glimpse of the modification of bodies, feelings, and lives.

Special features:
*Documentary on the making of the film and its enduring legacy, featuring actors Sharon Mitchell and Howie Gordon, author and critic Susie Bright, sexologist Annie Sprinkle, artist Beth Stephens, and director Juliet Bashore
*Audio commentary by director Juliet Bashore, actors Sharon Mitchell, Jon Martin and Howie Gordon, and performance artist Shelly Mars
*Crash (1990), a short film by Juliet Bashore
*Original trailer
*2022 Re-release trailer
*Optional English SDH subtitles
