Criterion has the blu ray rights.

A Criterion release is good news for Americans, but not really for the rest of the world. In Europe we still have the old too cold MGM effort (it's basically a tragic story, so let's make it look bleak) .Criterion obviously didn't get the UK rights. I imported & might import the Kino 4K, I now have the 4K kit, but I haven't tried any 4K discs yet.

Thanks for the Update. What were the missing elements titles, if you are at liberty to mention them? Fremantle(A port city in Western Australia) has TV interests in Australia thru acquisitions of local companies. Game Shows are among those assets.

It's been brought to my attention that this upcoming 4K disc of "The Great Escape" won't have any HDR applied. If true then I might pass on purchasing this disc as I have the 4K digital with no HDR. I would have to seriously think about it.

Two questions about pre-releases for Kino Insider.
Are the two Chuck Heston titles NUMBER ONE and COUNTERPOINT using the same scans used for the older dvds?
Will a blu-ray only release be offered at some point from the INVASION OF BODY SNATCHERS 4KUHD/Blu release?

I have no idea which masters the DVD releases used for the two Heston films.

We have the Blu-ray rights to INVASION, so we may release it at a future date.

Kino said on Facebook that there were legal problems keeping the final film, Daughter of the Dragon, from being released at this time.
