No new thread has been created except to have some membership input about those other two Kino threads. No decision has been made yet, but one is coming soon enough.
I guess I misinterpreted. This thread was started just a month ago (what I considered new) with only three posts.

Several posts from the other Kino Insider's thread were moved here.

And Mike Frezon put this post into the other thread

A half-dozen or so posts have just been relocated to THIS pre-existing thread in the Forum Feedback sub-forum.

=============

THIS thread (that you are reading now) is ONLY for announcements from the Kino Insider and reaction to those announcements.

THIS THREAD is for critical discussion of Kino releases.

And, THIS THREAD is for discussion as to the status of the Kino Announcements thread (which you are reading now) and to any suggestions/comments about changes which might be made to its current state and its rules. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

As always, do NOT respond to the content of this post in this thread as it would be inappropriate.

I like the interaction between the members and the insider. Thread bans for rule violations are a better solution IMO.

I still find it incredible how such a simple instruction (don’t send request lists, don’t ask if a certain title is a possibility) can be so difficult for a select few to follow. I really don’t get it. We’re all guests on this forum and the Insider is our special guest as well; it shouldn’t be this hard for us to respect the wishes of our hosts (the HTF staff) and treat our houseguest with the courtesy that’s been asked for.

Maybe the thread bans and message deletions are too invisible to members in general? The person getting banned knows he was, but how does anyone else know someone (not necessarily by name) got banned for this behavior except when a Mod posts that someone was banned? It's the same way with message deletions.

I don't stay on the forum all day. I check in once or twice a day at most. I didn't realize there were any consequences to the members who ignored the Mods until the Mods started posting they were deleting messages and banning members. Maybe if we all saw this when it happens, we'd all be more mindful?

I agree. Maybe with these reminders (Mods posting about deletions and banns), we might have less necessity for banning members and deleting messages.

The thread is getting increasingly cluttered up with posts violating the rule, and again despite repeated moderator warnings. Now that's even being scoffed at. I suggest that from now on posts found to be in violation be either deleted or moved to the Kino discussion thread.
