Once again it’s disappointing to see that the extended cut only appears on the Blu Ray. This almost always makes the UHD purchase a pass for me (assuming I already own the BD)

I never cared much for the extended cut of this film, feeling that the added scenes didn't add much comically and slowed the film to a crawl (which is likely why they were cut in the first place).

As with almost all "Unrated," "Extended," or "Director's Cuts" from this era, the longer version was most likely created on video (and probably from a terrible, edge-enhanced video master at the time) while the movie's OCN is still conformed to the theatrical cut. A new 4K scan of the negative will be of the theatrical version.
