    as posted on TVShowsonDVD...

    http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2861

coming out may 3rd (of THIS year)

... after all the wait for S3, this one sure is coming out fast. does this mean

    a) the sets are selling okay, or
    b) they already had this one in production so they're just releasing it and that's it for KotH on DVD?

looks like another bare bones set. that doesn't really bother me too much as the extra stuff on the earlier sets wasn't that spectacular.

For some reason Fox has decided to release Season 4 (like Season 3) on three dual-sided discs (DVD-10's) instead of three dual-layered discs (DVD-9's).

Seasons 1 and 2 were both DVD-9's, with extras, so I wonder why they've switched to dual-sided discs. I'm sure most people would prefer single-sided discs. Maybe Fox has contracted a cheaper manufacturing price for DVD-10's.

I think DVD-9 discs also have a higher rate of failure vs. a dual sided DVD-10. Sure it's a hassle to have to flip the disc over at some point. They're probably just trying to cut down on manufacturing costs as they probably aren't making too much profit on the show versus other shows.

I am shocked. I thought S4 would never see the light of day.

    Cover art is now available.

And as a memory-refresher, here are summaries of the 24 episodes in season 4.

BTW, and though it's off-topic, Fox's press site says that the Futurama sampler disc has been postponed... not that I suppose it matters much when the whole series is available, but:

That is the best cover art of all the DVD sets so far. S4 is a great season with some really classic episodes. I cannot wait.
