    Does anyone know why 1961 King of kings hasn´t been released yet in UK?Who owns the rights?

    It's owned by Warner Bros for the UK but they are often slow at releasing titles which have already been issued in the USA. Of course, many Warner R1 classic titles are never issued in the UK or the rest of Europe, although this is a major title so you would expect them to release it.

    Warner Bros only has the rights for KING OF KINGS in the UK, not the whole of Europe, so I suppose it's possible that they think it economically problematic to issue it just in the UK - they tend to issue their titles on a Europe-wide basis as far as possible, pressumably for economic reasons.

    Thank you, at least now I know it will be released some time in the future in decent condition.
    You´re right, for example Divisa Home Video has the rights in Spain, and of course,the DVD is awful.
