Yes, 'tis true!

This classic sci-fi/adventure/horror/fantasy movie has never been released to Region One DVD. This in spite of the fact that it represents one of the key demographics of DVD purchasers in this region.

On the other hand, the 1976 King Kong remake has been available since August 1999. Go figure! *Sigh*
