coupon for Borders rewards members!
Arnie...you just earned a credit in next week's Weekly RoundUp!
The way things are shaping up...this looks like one of the best deals out there (if not THE best) for the 2-discer!
If you've earned a 10% personal shopping day and use it on the day you buy King Kong, you will also get an additional 10% off your entire purchase, including the coupon price.
Anyone know whether the doc on the Best Buy exclusive disc is worth checking out?
Aaron: I've been following the King Kong deals pretty thoroughly this week. I'm not seeing anything about a BB exclusive disc.
Best Buy does have an exclusive disc, but it's doesn't appear to be free with purchase. It's called SCI-FI BOYS, is being released by Universal and it kind of ties in with King Kong, but it's being sold for $14.99. Here's the info from the Best Buy website:
"Peter Jackson, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Dennis Muren, Ray Bradbury, Rick Baker, Roger Corman, Ray Harryhausen and other legendary all-stars of cinema bring to life the evolution of science-fiction and special-effects films from the wild and funny days of B movies to blockbusters that have captured the world's imagination. This is the story of the Sci-Fi Boys, who started out as kids making amateur movies inspired by Forrest J Ackerman's Famous Monsters magazine and grew up to take Hollywood by storm, inventing the art and technology for filming anything the mind can dream."
Pretty flippin' sweet!
i wonder why i didnt get this one.
anyway 9.99 gift card makes this a no brainer for me.
Judging by the prices listed in other stores ads, this coupon gives you the cheapest price on the two discer by $1 or $2.
This IS where I'll be heading Tuesday. I hope they stock enough.
Doesn't Tower's website have KK 2-disc for $16.99??
Yep - $16.99
Of course, that's on-line - remains to be seen if their B&M will have it at that price or not.
Yup, Tower Records will be selling King Kong 2 Disc SE for $16.99 at their retail stores!
That's the lowest price I have seen anywhere.
Well, without a doubt, I'd be heading to Tower Tuesday to pick up my KK 2-discer. But since the closest Tower is about 180 miles away in NYC...I guess I'll be heading to Borders with coupon in tow.
Yeow, I will head to tower too. Hard to believe their price. I understand that with their great selection (inventory is evil, and expensive)I'am used to seeing SRP and as such, that price is seems unbelievable. Maybe Tower is getting into a more competitive business model. Not that I don't trust anyone here (Tino)as a skeptic I will stop by tomorrow just in case it is Pre-Order only. Will report back by 4PM (PST) Monday. Apologies to all.
Well, I'm doing better than you. The closest Tower to me is about 50 miles away. I guess the Borders that's 2 miles away will be my stop. Good price though.
Ah! That disc sounds like it might be worth buying separately anyway.
Guess I beat both of you. I have a Tower on my block in NYC. Now that Tower is getting aggressive in their pricing, the proximity is coming in handy. It used to be someplace I'd stop in to browse, but usually bought somewhere else.
I'll be in Tower bright and early tomorrow before work to pick up the KK 2-discer.
It is true here in Seattle. King Kong S.E. 2 disk is $16.99 at the B&M! Cool! ($14.99 for the single disk)
Tower, here I come, just a train ride away from Brooklyn Bridge.
