Well i remember hearing that the current dvd is cut and is only 91mn long, theres a 102mn version listed at imdb.com.
So far every copy i've seen,be it dvd or VHs has a 91mn running time + are unrated......yet today while at Sam Goody, buying a cd for a friend.....i saw it on VHS for $9 and took a look at the running time.....said 102mn & unrated!
So question is......is the movie really 102mn or is this a misprint?
I'd like to purchase the film sometime, but do not want to buy a cut version.

    Hey Christina,

I don't usually post much, but I figured I could help you here.

Lions Gate released the un-cut version, and the film's run-time is 91 mins.

The 102 mins, listed on the VHS, was an error. Somehow, when the packaging was put together back in 1994 the run-time was inadvertantly calculated by including the trailers and promos at the head of the feature.

    Sorry about the confusion.

Look for Bully, also by Larry Clark, in January.

Wow, Lions Gate watches HTF too apparently.

Welcome, Mr. Hunchar, to the Forum!

Thanks for clearing that up, Mr. Hunchar. The question has come up before, and it's good to have a definitive answer.

Looking forward to the DVD release of the current Lion's Gate release, Monster's Ball!

The 'unrated' DVD has the same error.

It lists 102 minutes on the package but ends at 92 minutes including credits.

I don't think there is a R-rated DVD. I've only seen the widescreen only version, and the widescreen/fullscreen flipper that I have (both unrated).

btw........is there any chance of releasing the unrated version of Return of the Living Dead 3?
I heard a rumor that it may be getting released sometime, but would like to know for sure.
Would love to buy it on dvd,but only if uncensored!

    Regarding Bully,

We'll be releasing the Unrated Theatrical Version, only, on DVD. For the VHS both the UTV and an 'R' rated version will be released.

Regarding Return of the Living Dead 3, we're seriously considering and Un-rated version. Probably for 2003. It will have all of the stuff in the 'R' version, plus a few extra things.

Just a little teaser, but be on the look-out for an announcement concerning Dead/Alive a.k.a Brain Dead.

Thanks again for the great news!
I'll definatly be on the look out for those titles[IMG]
Is there by any chance that Dead/Alive would include both the 97mn US version and full 105mn version?
That would truly make a SE and i've never had a chance to see the longer cut of the film....only the 97mn version & the horrible 85mn R rated version. It's a great movie though & should only be veiwed uncensored.
