Did anyone see this kid? He looked about 8 years old and I believe Dave said he wrote a sports column for a Virginia newspaper. Watching him was like seeing a 30 year old man trapped inside a kid's body! I couldn't stop laughing. He was so mature and professional. Very impressive.

was he on a couple weeks ago?
there can't be that many children sportscasters...I kinda felt sorry for the guy because the audience was laughing, not necessarily at him, but rather because he came off as so professional.
He was discussing Bond's chasing the home run record, he also discussed pretty much every other major sport with quite a bit of detail.
it was quite impressive

It might have been a rerun, I don't watch Letterman that often.
I was laughing with the audience, but like you said Mark, not laughing at him. For someone his age he was so mature it was unbelievable.

Whatever happened to that 9-10 year old girl who was working for ABC Sports nationally doing the Little League World Series and other stuff in addition to working for her local TV Station?

I didn't see the show last night. Maybe it was a rerun since that kid was on only a few weeks ago. Did Dave ask the kid if he'd ever sold him life insurance before? Better yet was him asking the kid, "How are the wife and kids?" Hope to see him on the show again soon, though I'm not sure how funny it'll be as the kid gets older.

Yes, it was a rerun. The kid was preceded by John Cusack promoting Serendipity, which was described as "opening this Friday".
