If you set the speakers to small, at what frequency does it cut off the speakers and send the LFE to the sub? Is it adjustable? I had an older JVC that had adjustable cutoff's and am wondering what other budget receivers do. thanks

I asked Kenwood support about bass managment and the internal test tones. Here are the answers I received:

Wow, you got an email reply from Kenwood? I bet satan is reaching for the thermostat as I type. [IMG]
BTW, their reply did not address what happens whe CinemaEQ is on. The sub then receives more signal. Cinema EQ is best left off in my opinion, at least if you own an SPL meter it is best left off.

Well, I'm full of shit [IMG] I swore that it was 120 Hz.
Kenwood e-mail has generally been pretty good. When I had to send in a receiver for repair a few months ago, I provided my e-mail address for correspondence. Well, they e-mailed me to tell me they had received it, e-mailed me to tell me what the problem was and how they were fixing it, and finally e-mailed me with the tracking # when it was shipped back to me. I just wish their telephone people were so courteous.
