Don't know if my Subject describes the problem or not. Probably not. At the beginning of DVDs (intros, menus, previews, etc.), the audio format switches from 5.1 to DPL and back and forth until the movie starts. When the DVD does this, the receiver seems to "mute" itself for a second or two for the format switch, but in doing this, I sometimes get a gap in the audio signal. Just to be clear, it doesn't do this once the movie starts, just in the switching at the beginning of the DVD. More of an annoyance than anything. Any ideas on what's happening, how to fix? Thanks! The DVD player is the Toshiba SD-2109 (if that makes any difference). JKS ------------------ My one goal in life is to live forever. Ya know what? . . . So far, So good! Yeah!
