I recently bought a Kenwood VR-605 and one option it has is to turn "subwoofer re-mix" on. The manual is very vague but does anyone know if this is essentially just turning on the receiver's crossover?
    TIA

I have a Kenwood VR4700 with the sub re-mix option. From what i understand, this option allows you to send low frequencies (below 80hz) both to the subwoofer AND the main speakers when they are set to LARGE.

Comes in handy when you have near-full range mains and a good sub. ie: Paradigm studio 100's and a servo 15

The Kenwood VR 6070 has the remix feature, however, the crossover frequency is 100Hz according to tech support at Kenwood.

So if I get this right, if I set the speakers to large and the re-mix on, it will send everything under 100mhz to both the sub and front speakers?
