Has anyone heard anything about the latest version of the Kenwood HTIB?

About the only thing that I have been able to find is the following:

Model number is HTB-505

Supposedly the subwoofer is now 10"

Not sure which receiver it is being shipped with or speakers set for that matter?

I have no idea what the specs are going to be like.

I thought I would get this out there to see if anyone else had the low-down.

Thanks

I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the HTB-505 also. It sounds like one of the other differences is the remote, which has a "joystick control".

Check out the thread in the Receivers/Separates/Amps sections. Basically I wanted to find out the same thing 2 weeks ago.

Looks like it has a VR-6050, and a sub with 120 watts.

Unlike the HTB-544 it won't do component switching.

I'm debating if I still want to go with the Kenwood HTB or separates... seeing as how I'm on a 500 dollar budget, and this is my first, I would think its okay.

Newbie here and have enjoyed reading the forum. I have contacted Kenwood about the release and look forward to ordering next week from Crutchfield (5/7/02)when in stock. I have decided on the HTB-505 as my first system because of the best value for the dollar spent in this range.
Scoop on the HTB-505:
The HTB-504 and HTB-544 are no longer available. We are now going to release the HTB-505 in May 2002. HTB-505 Key Features:
*620 watt total system power *100W X 5 (VR606) *Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II *New active EQ- Bets surround performance for compact speakers *S-video switching
*6 channel inputs for any type of digital surround format
*New AV preset remote with Joystick DVD control
*120W 8-inch powered sub woofer (SW-36HT) *match super tweeter in all speakers for best DVD-Audio playback *4" 2-way, three driver speakers with wooden cabinets: L,R & Center *4" 2-way speakers with wooden cabinets: surround speakers (KS-706HT)
Thanks

Have you already seen the HTB-505 on sale at any websites already? Could you provide a link?

Thanks.

This is going to be good. I have the 504 and it is great. The money I have put in up-grades has not done that much, except the sub. You guys will really like this system. Congrads. The new one sounds like it will even be better. You won't be disapointed. No - I don't work for Kenwood.
