Does anyone have this Kenwood?

....but on the Kenwood website doesn't mention the FAROUDJA feature at all and the pictures do not have the word SOVEREIGN on them. Can anyone confirm this information for me?
My new Panasonic RP91 DVD player will be here tomorrow (Yipppeeee!) - but I wouldn't mind adding a DVD changer to my setup. I had a Sony 300+1 changer that I loved - but I sold it once I decided to go with the Rp91 after buying a new PS capable display. I'd probably be using it (the Kenwood) for CD's too, as my old Sony 10 disc changer is on it's last legs.

Michael, I believe the Kenwood changer you are looking at in the BX is NOT progressive scan and therefore dose NOT feature the Faroudja chip. It is likely identical to the Sovereign changer in most other aspects though.
One thought I just had is that I believe the Sovereign unit also plays DVD Audio. I see no mention of that on the European model.
This is not unusual as the RP-91 is also sold in European areas without progressive scan but otherwise the same.
The Sovereign unit is like $1000 so $529 at the BX seems right for the loss of Prog. scan and DVD Audio.
I miss shoping at the PX :frowning:

Thanks for your help fellas....
I guess I'll probably pass on this Kenwood changer after all. I'm sure my wife will be happy about that :)
I have been buying waaaaayyyy too much HT gear lately.
Need to slow down...or "STOP" as my wife says. I don't know what that word means. I still need some new speakers, X-Box, ProntoPro.......Buy the time I get all that I'm sure I'll need a new HDTV, DVD player, speakers.....
the neverending cycle......
Thanks again!
