My uncle's computer keeps losing connection to the internet. To fix it I have to keep going to local area connection and then select repair. After doing that the connection is fine again, but I have to do this every time the computer has been turned back on again. It just started happening last week and everything had been working fine for over a year before. He has no router, everything is wired, and is using a network card. He had been with Adelphia, but Time Warner took over a couple months ago. He spent 3 hours on the phone with them and they said everything is fine on their end. He also called Dell and they said to reformat. Well, we did that but problem still persists.
