you know i've been seeing her face popping up around tv lately due to her first show on the news and she looks awful.

she clearly had some work done,.
her face looks shallow and her neck has that bad stretched look.

she looks like she has aged years since i saw her earlier this year on tv.

I don't care what she looks like. I can't stand her and wouldn't dream of watching her news program.

I saw her picture in the paper today and she looked better then she did the last time I saw her on the Today Show.

How about Walter Cronkite's recorded introduction of her? Do you think that is CBS's way of apologizing to Walter Cronkite for replacing him with Dan Rather over 20 years ago. One of the biggest mistakes CBS ever made.

During the first zoom in on her face, I paused my TIVO, and called my wife in. Talk about some major botox. She looked horrible. HDTV is not her friend.

And the entire newscast was more like a magazine show. It had the feel of Primetime Live, or some other fluff news show. Granted, it was a slow news day, but since when do we have opinion pieces during the evening news. Save that for the other 23 1/2 hours of news each day.

It's truly sad/funny, when at the end, she played the clip of Ron Burgundy, and I thought that he had more evening news "moxie" than Ms. Couric.

I hope this is not the shape of things to come. Bring back Bob.

As an intense, raving loon of a fan of the guy who wrote it...I'm far too biased a person to ask, but I'll say a 100% yes it was.

Are you sure the CBS Evening News is broadcast in HD? I was not aware any of the broadcast news formats had moved to HD yet.

I don't have HD, so I just assumed. If it wasn't HD, then Katie looks even worse. Truly, the botox was very apparent, and the makeup was very poor.

Media critics are giving last night's show a pretty harsh review -- the biggest complaint is that the show is too cute -- but the ratings were huge. A 9.1 rating and a 17 share; highest rated CBS Evening News since 1998. I haven't seen Couric yet so I don't have an opinion, although she would not have been my choice for an anchor. Still, willing to give her the benefit of the doubt til I see a few evenings' newscasts.

It's been a few years since I watched the Today Show and there's definitely a "hardening" of her features that was not there before.

makeup might be making it worse but she has had a not good batch of work done.
too light around the eyes.
looks skeletal

her face now is too thin.
she needs some meat under her skin there.
looks sickly.

I just found it odd. This thread could be 50 pages long and I'd say the same thing. I don't have any sort of problem with it, I just find it an odd thing to talk about. Don't you?
