    Karate Kid widescreen????

I noticed that Karate Kid 2 had a widescreen cut to it but I cannot tell if the first one did. It does not say on the box but I have seen Columbia Tri Star drop dual sided disks before and not mention it. I would just buy it but I don't want to get lasso'd into a crummy full screen movie. Does anyone have this and can shed a little light on the subject?

    Thanks,

    Sam

I haven't got it, but I haven't got it because it is Pan & Scan only...
Maybe they could do a "superbit deluxe" version [IMG]
I think it is available in R2 if that is of interest to know.

That is why I was asking... I was wondering if someone actually opened it to verify that it didn't "accidentally" have a wide presentation on the B side. It is just so funny that they would release the series and only the first one be Pan and Scam... How lame.. Now I guess I will have to wait on getting the whole series because of the first one being crummy. I hope they re-release it soon....

I got this for Christmas a couple of years ago; it's definately pan-and-scan ONLY. There's no Widescreen DVD for the first Karate Kid film in Region 1. For sure.

I would have to believe some sort of special edition will be released for this film. It's just a matter of when that will be.
