I noticed some Karaoke DVD's that are available at online retailers. What special hardware, if any, is required to take advantage of the features on these DVD's?

I currently have a Denon AVR 3300, Toshiba SD2109 DVD player, and the Toshiba TP50H95, Paradigm speakers. Do I need anything else?

What you'll need is something that accepts microphone input and preferrably echo and key controls.

Many DVD players sold in Asia (such as the Skyworth) have microphone inputs and echo knob built in.

Without that (on either the DVD player or receiver), what you'll need is an external karaoke box that takes audio input and mixes it with its microphone inputs.

Thanks Bryan. Do you have any recommendations for an external karaoke box or a lead to an online retailer?

    ...thanks again, Brad
