For those of our HTF readers for whom money is no object, Kaleidescape has announced the release of the compact Terra 22TB ($10,995, pictured in header) and Terra 88TB ($29,995, pictured below) movie servers, replacing the compact Terra 18TB and Terra 72TB models, respectively. Both new storage devices are available from approved dealers and integrators now. Kaleidescape has nearly 14,000 lossless purchase movie titles and 9,000 available to rent which can be stored and played out on the platform at home.
The full range of Kaleidescape storage options now consists of the Terra 6TB, compact Terra 12TB, compact Terra 22TB, and the larger Terra 48TB or Terra 88TB. The company says that the sequencing provides efficient options for those who want storage flexibility on a smaller scale, or for those with larger collections looking to expand as more 4K UHD titles become available.
