YOUNG JUSTICE: SEASON blu-ray is already up for pre-order. Streets on 8/12. And they renewed AVENGERS ASSEMBLE and that abysmal HULK AND THE AGENTS OF SMASH. Ugh.

If this was any day BUT 8.12, I would have preordered. That's a super expensive day right now and I can't justify it.

I admit I was surprised they have it scheduled so soon. Season 2, though, is the better season.

I watched a handful of eps when YJ first came out. It went by the wayside when I bogged down in other shows and life in general.

YJ: INVASION (Season 2) was excellent! Animation was better and consistent and the storyline was better too. If you see only one of them, see that season.

My review of BATMAN: ASSAULT ON ARKHAM.... guys, this was the best DC animated movie ever made!

For some weird reason there are two DC animated movies up for pre-order on Amazon -- BATMAN VS. ROBIN and JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MONSTERS. No release date. From what I recall from the press release some time ago these aren't supposed to be released until deep into next year. I know JL: THRONE OF ATLANTIS is supposed to be the next one out in Jan. Hmmm, interesting.....

I noticed that too. Preordered Batman vs. Robin and looked for Throne of Atlantis. No dice.

I'm hoping GODS AND MONSTERS is the one to beat next year. That's the one Bruce Timm wrote and directed. I'm expecting good things from that one.

While I have some of the animated movies from Marvel & DC on DVD & like both, I find that I enjoy the DC ones better even though Marvel has my fav heroes. As for TV, I loved the DC Batman the animated series & own Batman Beyond on DVD.

Those are some nice looking covers but for some reason I prefer to pick up the animated stuff on DVD instead of Blu Ray. For me, I don't need to watch them in HD, SD is just fine for me.
