I have had this player for a couple of months now and I have been very pleased with it but recently something that I can not explain has been occuring. In the first 10 min of a movie there is some audio crackling or going in and out for a bit. After that time all is well. It has done this on both Saving Private Ryan and Gladiator. Any ideas as to why?

Well if I had those problems I would first be checking cables. Are they connected properly? Then I'd look at the DVDs. Am I taking care of them? Or is someone around the house using them as beer coasters when I'm not looking? Then I would try a different input on the receiver just to see/experiment. Then I would try to find another DVD player to put in its spot and see if the same thing happened, to eliminate the DVD itself.

I have the 75 model which is the same thing but with DVD-Audio. It's been flawless for 6 weeks.
