I have a VCR from JVC, an old tried but true 7600.

It responds to my Pioneer reciever's universal remote, but won't work with it's own remote or a OneForAll that works everything else and has worked the JVC in the past.

Any hints? Is there some setting somewhere?

I have a slightly newer JVC that has an "A/B" setting. At times the JVC remote has been switched to "B," making it inoperable. I would check that out.

I bet Cameron got it right. Phil, some of my JVC's have jumped back and forth between A & B codes when there where power outages. Look on the side of your remote for a little button that switches between A & B codes. You have to unplug the VCR, and then turn it on with the remote set to either A or B, your choice. That's how my 7500 works anyways...[IMG]
