I was just poking around Sears website under audio "cleanrance" & came across the 7030 which would make a nice Entry Level Receiver for someone on a budget or a Bedroom Receiver. It has "ALL" the new Surround Formats & the only thing it's missing is DPL IIx but it does have DPL II. I also noticed the Audio Source Speaker Package with 5 speakers & a 8" inch sub-woofer for $80.98 Check the "Closeout" website out because they had a speaker switch box & etc. you just might find something that you could use if you can't get into a Sears store for their Audio Closeout Sale. For the full specs & pictures on the JVC Receiver go to www.crutchfield.com & enter the model number under search & it will come up.

    Bill,

The quote at Sears is "$269.97, You Save $134.97". The 7030 would be a screaming bargain even at $200.00.

$269.97 is not such a hot price considering the 7030 was selling at J&R for $229.99 at one time.

Danny, Yes the site says "SAVE" $137.97 & when you put it in your cart to buy it the price for the receiver is $ 134.98 which is the Sears "CLOSEOUT PRICE" on the receiver.
Sears is having a 50% OFF Regular Price Sale on Closeout Models & from what I understand from another post Sears is now only going to be handling Home Theater In A Box Systems & they are cleaning out all the Receivers, Speakers, CD Players & etc for 50% OFF THE REGULAR PRICE. Also checkout your local Sears store because a neighbor's son just came home with CV 12" 3-Way Floor Standing Speakers for $89.00 each that were usually $199.99 each.

Many people have purchased a Yamaha 5660 for $160 or a Panasonic SA-XR25 for $125. (If you have a $10 off $100 coupon) The deals are in-store, and the price will show up on the register. (shelf price is probably higher)

I picked up a panasonic XR25 last night for 134.20 out the door after taxes.

My neighbor's son was looking for a Yamaha Receiver but the local Sears store only had one Receiver left an open box JVC RX-7030 that's when he came across the CV Speakers. I was surprised though when I found the 7030 on Sears website under clearance but also on the website they still have the JVC RX-8030 at the regular price of $399.99 it doesn't seem to have been marked down yet? Now $200 or less for the 8030 would also make a Great entry level receiver for someone on a budget.

I just picked up a new in the box Yamaha 5660 for $169+tax and an open box (only missing the manual) Panasonic SA-XR25 for $107+tax (20% off open box discount).

Anyone want to buy a used Pioneer 811? :)
