Hey has anyone heard those JVC bookshelf systems yet?...Now obviously not audiophile quality, but suprising for the price and size as far as bookshelf systems go. I havent tested one yet but the bass is amazing for how cheap they are[IMG]
They have a 6" woofer in a port loaded sealed enclosure. Just in listening though they have a boomy bass but nonetheless very good deep bass extension. I'd estimate about 30-35 Hertz at a fairly loud output. Anyways just wondering what you guys thought about these.

To be honest I am shocked that Bose hasn't sued JVC over
thier "Gigatube" porting scheme. Bose could easily claim
that this is an infringement on thier Acoustal Wave Guide
and what with all the lawyers Bose has at hand.. Well, we
    know how that goes!

They be a bandpass design. Extremely boomy. But for the teenager who wants the boom box I guess it is ideal.

Hey I'm a teen, and I care more then just BOOM BOOM. THe JVC thing, sounds better then their other products, but not as good as my mini system! (soon to be Klipsch RF3II's w/ HK)

JVC, I've never heard more port noise before! And yeah, it has lost of bass...If you like uncontrolled boom!
