As some of you know I just acquired the last amp I needed to allow me to use the ICBM as my bass manager. I'm so stoked!!! Finally I get to tweak the H/P and L/P crossover on each speaker individually. No more running all speakers as small.

I figure I'll run the mains and surrounds at 40/60hz to start, I'll keep the center at 80hz and the rear centers at 100hz.

Anyone else here using the ICBM like this? How is it working for you?

    Thanks

    Earle

    Earle,
Outlaw reccomends the following formula for calculating the appropriate crossover point for a speaker:
Add 5 Hz to the -3dB point. Goto the next highest crossover frequency.
Assume a -3dB of 40Hz. Add 5 Hz to the value (45) -- the next highest point is 60Hz.
Assume a -3dB of 35Hz (my mains). Add 5Hz (40) -- the next highest point is either 40 or 60, depending on your logic. I tried 40 and 60, and 60 is better to my ear.
As far as my thoughts etc, etc, etc... Here they are. They haven't changed since I wrote the article [IMG]
