Just ordered from online Canadian retailer (1 Viewer)

I just ordered "OZ: The Complete First Season" and "Rocky Horror Picture Show:SE" from an online Canadian retailer, and now I'm wondering if what I get is the same as what's in the stores in the US. I sent them an email asking this, and they responded that these DVDs are the same, but after reading other posts about some releases in Canada (Memento, anyone?), I'm wondering if this is really the case.

Anybody have any info on these specific releases?

Most releases, including the ones you mentioned are the same. Some titles like the original Memento, The Red Violin, Transformers: The Movie are produced in Canada by Canadian companies and are often inferior. There are other titles such as those by Disney which are produced in Canada but have the exact same content as the US version with the exception that they swapped the Spanish audio track with a Canadian French audio track.

Another warning, which I have trouble remembering myself, is that a few companies have started doing bilingual covers for Canada, they mix french and english on the spine and back cover, and the front will have a french text as well, some of them are designed to be turned over for the french side in which case it is not so intruding.

These companies include Paramount, Universal, USA films and Alliance (and I wouldn't be surprised if I left something out)
