I have ordered 4 Dalquist QX5s for front and rear, QX50C center, and QX125 sub. The receivers I have been looking at are the Denon 1603 for $249, Onkyo 501 Refurbished for around 240, and the HK AVR125 for about the same. Right now im leaning toward the Denon 1603 new for $249. Thanks for your help. I don't think I need a ton of features just something that sounds very clean. Thanks for your help.

Congratulations Dwayne!

I think you'll be very happy with your new Dahlquists. :)

To get optimum performance out of those puppies, you'll
want to power them with a "warmer" receiver like the Harman
Kardon AVR125. I power mine with a Marantz SR6300 and it
sounds wonderful... music is warm and sweet (yet detailed)
and home theater is just as good.

The HK, being the warm and clean sounding receiver that it
is, would be a good match for these speakers. They're one
of the honest companies that actually under-rates their
power supply and should give you that clean sound you're
looking for.

You can also get the HK AVR225 (refurbished) here for just
$298: http://www.harmanaudio.com . It'll give you a little
extra power and should sound slightly "cleaner" (i.e. less
distortion) at higher volumes.

Hope that helps!

Hiya Dwayne,
Thanks again for your business eh!
I would second Michael's recommendation for the H/K. They use very high current amps for a receiver along with two power supplies and a very musical D/A convertor. The clearout prices on the H/K are fantastic.
Also, I like the sound from the new series from Yamaha and offers 6.1 for reasonable prices.

Marc H, I sure hope this thing sounds good. Reading this board will make you spend to much money. =)
