after auditioning paradigm monitor and psb image series and online research I decided on the m22ti from the factory outlet. Out of the box they already sound impressive. Definitely clearer highs and mids and almost comparable bass to my old n38 and I hear they will sound even better after breakin them in.

So whats the best/fastest way to break them in? just blast them at max volume with any type of music or play special test tones?

I'm interested to know the same thing for the M40 Floorstanders. I got a pair that should arrive tomorrow and I'll need to break them in.

ordered direct from factory outlet. One speaker is in immaculate condition as far as I can tell and the other has a very small dent on the back edge.

so what's the best way to break them in?

I left my M22ti's running at "easy to talk over" sound levels for nearly a week straight (except at night I ran FM static at very low volumes). Bass heavy tunes are best, but at least on the Axioms you do not need to crank the volume early on.
