I decided last weekend that I'd buy a TIVO. They're not very well known over here in the UK, but a lot of people have been praising them. I've had it a week and it's one of the best additions to my home theater setup. I was always forgetting to set the VCR and now I don't have to worry. I like to keep the recordings for a while so I think that the 40Gb drive is going to get full pretty quick. I know that you can upgrade the drive, but I want to wait until it's out of the warranty period before I mess with it too much. Do many people archive their recordings to VCR, or just erase them. Given the ease of TIVO and the instant playback I'm not sure I could ever go back to VCR. VHS is dead, long live TIVO!
