As the thread title indicates, my parents just gave me 300 bucks, 250 for getting straight A's for final grades, and 50 that my mom gave me from a bonus she got at work. Basically, I have two options: I can either get a Gamecube or an X-Box and a few games (I have more than 300 of my own money saved up as well) or I can just spend it on a bunch of DVD's, games, CD's and other stuff, so what good stuff that I don't have would you reccomend. Also, do you think I should just cave in and buy the current Goodfellas release, or should I hold out for the SE. I ACHE to see the movie again, but don't know about blowing 20 bucks on such a sub-par disc.

Well obviously your first option is to send it to me via paypal at [email protected] [IMG]
But if you don't want to do that I would recommend getting a ps2 instead of a gamecube or xbox. Thats just my personal preference. Better games, better multiplayer capabilities.
However if I had 300 bucks extra I would buy a bunch of cd's and dvds. I know I would get the most joy out of that.
    just my 2 cents.

Oh yeah, I should mention, I already have a PS2. And I guess now that I think of it, this should kind of be a poll.

Ok. So don't get a ps2 then. I would get a gamecube over an x-box.

I've got 4 words for you.
    Book.............of.................the........... ....Dead. [IMG]
And seeing as you'll have some green left over, why not throw in a gas mask and some rubber gloves, so that you can actually handle it. [IMG]

Check out the first 2 seasons of the Sopranos, and save the rest to get the 3rd season in August. Either that or the first 3 season of TNG. Someone mentioned X-Files, that is good too, you get the most bang for your buck on TV show sets.

Ask your parents to put that $300 into the stock of a company that is involved with DVD production, of course!
Such as SNIC, or ESST even. Then next year you can buy twice as many DVDs, hopefully.

Investments?! Bah. It really isn't worth it to invest anything less that $1000 (unless we are talking LOOOONG term) [IMG]
Get some DVDs (listen to Matt Chmiel a couple of posts up, that is all good stuff that he listed), maybe a console (get the XBOX if ya like SEGA games, FPSs, and sports games... GameCube if ya like Resident Evil, Sonic, and Nintendo Games [personally, I have both [IMG] ]). Then get some brew (root beer, of course) and enjoy yer summer [IMG]
PS: $300 for GRADES! I had a 3.9 GPA my senior year and I didn't get squat! [IMG] Lucky bastard [IMG]
