Went shopping yesterday, and bought EVERYTHING...
The Lineup:
Toshiba 36" flat screen TV (no HD yet)
Yamaha RX-V1400 Receiver (6.1 and THX cert'd for $500)
Yamaha NS-555 (L & R main)
Yamaha NS-C444 (Center)
Yamaha NS-333 (the 3 surrounds)
(By the way, I've never been a fan
of Japanese speakers, but Yamaha's
NS Series sound wonderful and are
the best speaker value I've ever
seen...er, heard)
Velodyne 10" VAI-CHT10 subwoofer
Sony DVD recorder SON RDRGX7 (LOVE this machine)
Denon DP-29 Turntable
Sony TC-KE500S Analogue Tape Deck
JVC HR-S5902U S-VHS
Ampex 600 Reel-to-reel deck (lots of old live shows @70's)
I DO believe in quality interconnects, but some folks just go plumb crazy about it. All wiring is good, mid-level Monster Cable brand. Personally, I think it does the trick. The surge protector is MC, as well.
Well, that's about it. I gotta go watch "JAWS" now. Thanks...Keith
