I finally saw Croupier last night for the first time. I was very impressed. The acting by Clive Owen was outstanding. I am embarrassed to say that I had not heard of him before this movie. I don't watch that many UK films . . . not that I avoid them either (just saw Sexy Beast recently, as well). But for a minor flaw with the plot: Why did they need to pay Jack 10,000 pounds just to catch a guy cheating? Any dealer would call a "punter" out for placing a late bet... I still enjoyed this movie a lot. I admit that I have a certain attraction to, for lack of a better word, "gambling" movies (e.g., The Sting, Casino, Rounders, Color of Money). Did others here find this movie as impressive as me? What other "gambling" films would you suggest?
