Just bought this setup for my computer for $199 at Circuit City. I am thinking of upgrading the wires by buying some heavier gauge wire(16 or 14)from Home Depot. I don't think the sub will accept 12-gauge wire. Has anyone upgraded their Klipsch 4.1 or 5.1 system? If so, is it worth the expense?

the wire it comes with is probably 22 gauge or something. i have never bothered upgrading mine, but i have heard people say over on the klipsch forums that there's an improvement with going to 16 or 14 gauge.

At first I thought that whole cable mod has got to be a joke, then I read on to realize that it was real. [IMG]

IMO: No, it is not worth the expense.

If anyone gets additional enjoyment from their promedias after doing the mods I suspect it to be all in their head. I suppose the only exception would be if you were to require very long runs of wire.
