    Hi,

I was looking around and I saw that there is a UK version of the original Jurassic Park on DVD with additional scenes? Does anyone have this copy and would care to shed some light on what those scenes were. I just reread the book and really want to see what was cut and if the scenes were making the movie closer to the book.

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi, Eric.

Additional scenes on the UK Jurassic Park? That's the first I've heard of this. What's your source? I'd be interested to confirm the validity of this.

IMDB had it in the alternate versions page for the movie.

IMDB is notorious for misleading information.

I've done a little investigation, and compared the UK R2 and R1 boxsets..

The UK R2 disc of Jurassic Park appears to be exactly equivalent to the Dolby Digital R1 disc. And The Lost World UK R2 disc's supplements have been cut by the BBFC, in their infinite wisdom. (It was the deleted scene where Pete Postlethwaite beats up some idiot.) Everything else appears to be equivalent.

    http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/compari...e.php?fid=4392 agrees with me.

If anyone else has some light they wish to shed on this, then feel free.
