Limited Blu-ray Edition (Blu-ray premieres)
The daring and provocative films of maverick American filmmaker Samuel Fuller (1912-1997) were some of the most hard-hitting, outspoken, politically progressive and visually audacious of the Hollywood studio era. This seven-film Blu-ray box set brings together Fuller’s entire output as a writer and director for Columbia Pictures: IT HAPPENED IN HOLLYWOOD (1937), a witty satire on the movie-making business, co-written by Fuller; ADVENTURE IN SAHARA (1938), a gripping...

This is outstanding stuff, indeed. Love that Indicator seems to have taken over the now-abandoned Warner Bros. box set model, adding even more elaborate extras. If you receive the company's newsletter, scroll to the very bottom and you will find a photo and a tag saying, "Coming later this year." The picture is from THESE ARE THE DAMNED, which to me suggests yet another Hammer set in the works, with perhaps a sci-fi theme. Might we finally get QUATERMASS II? I have emailed them to see if they might drop me a clue...

Just like the Budd Boetticher set, there are some Sam Fuller films I wouldnt watch..so I am hoping for some single or double features down the line. Yes the box sets are beautiful but I don't collect for aesthetics :D

Does is make more sense to order these direct from Indicator/PH, or from Amazon UK?

Amazon is a little cheaper on shipping. Indicator shipping to US is $8.95, Amazon UK shipping to US on a box set like this (I used the Boetticher set as example since Amazon doesn't have the listing for the Sam Fuller set yet) is 3.07 GBP, or $4.37. I've always used Amazon UK.

Amazon UK drops the VAT for orders from non UK customers, and I believe that Indicator charges the VAT no matter where you are ordering from, so ordering from Amazon UK will be less expensive.

Interesting box set. I don't think I've seen any of those films which is odd for me. I usually have seen at least one or two. Any that are highly recommended?

I have The Crimson Kimono from Twilight Time, very good movie. Underworld USA is also out from TT, I've heard good things about the disc but don't have it. The film, IMO, is ok. I have not seen the others in that set.

When they announced the 1st Hammer box set they announced that they would be releasing 4 Hammer box sets 4 months apart. But they found that getting all the extras ready and multiple cuts of some of the films was more time consuming than they originally thought so they are being released 6-8 months apart. The 3rd box should be out somewhere between August -October and the 4th set 6-8 months after that. They haven't announced the titles yet but they will be the Columbia Hammers only. They said if the 1st four sell well enough there maybe a 5th set since there will be enough Colombia Hammers left. They unfortunately do not have Quatermass II. It belongs to Studio Canal.
Besides These are the Damned these are the Sony Hammers that they could release: Terror of the Tongs, Camp on Blood Island, Yesterdays Enemy, Sword of Sherwood Forest, Revenge of Frankenstein, Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll, The Stranglers of Bombay, Taste of Fear, Devil Ship Pirates, The Crimson Blade, Brghand of Khandahar and Creatures the World Forgot. They reportedly do not have the rights to Pirates of Blood River.
