Has anybody send in their "first press" Jurassic Park DTS to Universal for exchange ? Like to know if the exchange is "as promised" and the program is still ongoing. I believe this subject was discussed at length here sometime in July/August. Thanks.

I just sent my defective disc off about 2 weeks ago. But since I searched Best Buy for a new DTS pressing this summer and finally found one, I'm not in a real hurry to get the other disc back. Once I do I will probably just sell it to a friend. You won't be disappointed with the improved sound though. [IMG]

I sent mine in from Canada and got the remixed version back after about 6 weeks also. The system works.

I don't know how does one tell from the "outside" whether the DVD is of the correct "vintage", there is a code on the DVD itself, but to see that, you kind of have to open the shrink wrap and the case. May be some of those that have gone thru the 25 pages or so posting when the question was first raised can help ?

    Dalton,
I don't know about Best Buy where you are, but the Best Buy where I am hasn't had a DTS copy of Jurassic Park for quite a while. When I was in Louisville this summer tracking down the corrected copy I looked at two Best Buys and one of them had one DTS copy left. At my Best Buy all they have now is the boxed two disc Dolby sets. For some reason they have plenty of Lost World copies still availible though. But if you want a copy now I would suggest ordering from DVD Empire. I think a lot of people here had good luck getting the corrected copy from them. Happy hunting!

I sent mine in when the issue was "hot" and got the replacement about three weeks ago.
