Have Joy Ride on DVD and decided to catch it on FOX Cable channel when it aired recently, about 2 days ago.

In the movie the two guys are forced to walk into the diner naked.

I thought for sure that this would have been either censored or the scene edited to eliminate the nudity.

But when the scene came up, the scene was intact, and with no censoring or editing as far as I could tell.

At the beginning it said that it was edited for content and was rated TV 14.

Nothing against male nudity in films, but I was surprised to see it shown on TV.

About the only thing I could determine that was edited out was some swear words. It seemed that most of the violence and nudity was left intact.

The FCC does not regulate cable/satellite channels. Only over-the-air broadcasts. Content is largely left to the originator. Check out some of the HBO shows, for example.

About the only thing you won’t see is porn. I can’t remember seeing frontal nudity either, but it may well have occurred.

Usually it is safe to show male buttocks on TV, but not female, which is rather odd. The male rear nudity is all I can remember in this movie, so I am not really surprised they didnt cut it out.

This is FX, after all. They show The Shield, so they're obviously OK with pushing some boundries.

How late was the broadcast you were watching?
