I saw a Joni Mitchell DVD in the store the other day called Shadows and Light. Anyone pick this up?

    I'm curious about two things:

    1. Is this the same performance as the double live album?

    2. Either way, how is the disc?

    I believe yes.
Amazing. I have had the laserdisc version since 1984, and I had no idea it was MISSING FOUR TRACKS that are on the DVD!

    Sweet. Thanks.

It's probably worth it for Jaco alone.

Had the DVD for a month or so now, haven't had the album in years, but if memory serves it's from the same show.

Yes Mike it is worth it for Jaco alone. His solo had me smiling from ear to ear the 1st time I watched it. It's way too short though, but hey I played bass for years so I might be biased.

    DVD Tracks:
In France They Kiss on Main Street
    Edith and the King Pin
    Coyote
    Free Man in Paris
    Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
Jaco's Solo (The High and the Mighty/Third Stone from the Sun)
    Dry Cleaner from Des Moines
    Amelia
    Pat's Solo
    Hejira
    Black Crow
    Furry Sings the Blues
    Raised on Robbery
Why Do Fools Fall in Love
    Shadows and Light

Single Disc CD Tracks From Amazon:
(There is also a 2 disc Japan version for 63 Bones)
    1. Introduction
    2. In France They Kiss on Main Street
    3. Edith and the Kingpin
    4. Coyote
    5. Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
    6. Dry Cleaner from des Moines
    7. Amelia
    8. Pat's Solo
    9. Hejira
    10. Dreamland
    11. Band Introduction
    12. Furry Sings the Blues
    13. Why Do Fools Fall in Love?
    14. Shadows and Light
    15. Woodstock

Looks like both the DVD & US CD would make a nice package.

I have a domestic 2 CD release of the show. At least I think it was domestic.
