The scenes with dialog and exposition really feel like cut scenes. Then he goes back into playable mode and goes silent. The sandcrawler scene, aside from being an element in the SNES Star Wars game, feels like one of those levels where you climb up while avoiding things from above hitting you.

This is not a knock on the show -- it's just something that explains the way it's paced and structured. It actually makes the show better for me.

I am really liking the pacing and focus on the character and not other people. Unlike just about anything where you see part of story A, then a scene with story B, then back to A and eventually they meet.

Just simple, straight forward, no huge amounts of exposition or soliloquies. Great scenery.

    Very serialesque.

Episode 3 went up around 3:10am on the east coast. Maintains the high quality of the previous installments. I’m really enjoying this.

IMO, the third episode was the best so far.

I had a big morning of ... (cough) ... loading up my MacBook Pro and did not want to deviate.

However, I saw your post and immediately went into the theater to watch!

Yeah...Holy Shit!...very good episode. It's really starting to feel like a serious series to me. It went from Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disney to Splash Mountain. Still hoping it climbs a little further to Space Mountain.

 I told you guys it was the best episode so far. No doubt, I'll be watching this episode at least one more time.

Just watched the third episode and I was simply BLOWN away. Finally, somebody at Lucasfilm has figured out how to create awesome Star Wars. THIS is what we should have gotten with The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Solo. Rogue One was the first step and The Mandalorian brings the excitement back into Star Wars. Somebody figured out that certain story elements weren't working and finally worked on getting it right.

I can say that it's still not perfect but it's a step in the right direction. But, I have a feeling that "Mango" has a new threat to deal with. Be curious to see how that plays itself out (I was intentionally vague to avoid spoilers).

Who is Mango? Everyone is calling him Mando, short for Mandalorian.

As to your first point, Favreau approached this thinking "why don't we tell an original story instead of tripping over our own privates rehashing the same old stuff because we are too ignorant, cowardly and stupid to tell a different story." Morons.

Error on my part. But, at least Favreau isn't following Kathleen Kennedy's lead and has produced an epic Star Wars series that is respectful of what George Lucas created. Each episode seems to get better and better. But, I wish it was longer than an eight-episode season.

Please, let’s not drag this anti-Kennedy conspiracy theory nonsense into this thread too. She greenlighted the show and is it’s executive producer. The show didn’t happen in spite of Kennedy, it happened because of Kennedy.

Let us give due credit to Favreau, Filoni, Kennedy, and everyone else responsible for this excellent series!

Are you trying to say that if people say she sucks when they don't like the final product, they also have to give her credit when they do like the outcome? That's outrageous!

Right, I think Favreau has written a fine show at this time.

Great third episode. I have no idea what's going to happen next, but I assume we're not done with

    Carl Weathers' character.

This show is fast becoming my favorite live-action Star Wars since the original trilogy.
