    Why would you expect anything different as it's a continuing storyline? As to the fourth being pointless, I can't disagree with you more as I want to see the
    battle between the high table and Wick and his allies.

    My wife thought it reminded her of Blade Runner, she hadn't seen installments 1&2. Of course, the John Wick films and Blade Runner are westerns in different settings!

    It was meant to. They sort of borrowed/paid tribute to several films in this one. I'm sure you caught the Wallach moment.

    Honestly, none of the 3 really have a "storyline". The first comes closest, because at least it offers some character development and a dramatic reason to exist.

    2 and 3 are basically just "John kills a lot of people"...
