    Folks-
Just read over at the IMDB News page that John Thaw, famous as Inspector Morse on PBS' Mystery series died yesterday of throat cancer.

Truly sad news. Morse was one of my favorite characters from the series. He will be missed.

His character was a likable old curmudgeon. He had good taste in cars & beer, even though I don't care for opera. I guess maybe he had been ill for awhile sincehe looked really bad in the last episodes, and they killed him off. Went out like an old warhorse, though.

He's mostly known for his Morse-character, but he was quite an actor. Theatre (Shakespeare and all) and film, as well as TV.

I do hope they bring his complete Morse series to DVD now soon! Only a few exist at the moment, including "A Remorseful Day", the one Julian is referring to.

    He will be remembered!
