John Mellencamp's new album (1 Viewer)

I've never been a huge fan by any means. I have always enjoyed his music, but never owned any albums. Just recently I heard his new song and had to get his new greatest hits album. It's really good.

I really like the new song "Walk Tall".

Yes an excellent compilation. Underated too, is his 90s/current stuff.

This latest greatest hits CD is supposed to be remastered. Can somebody who owns or has heard this disc comment on the re-mastering? Is the sound noticeably better than the original releases? Thanks.

The first greatest hits was remastered, and you could really tell the difference on the older stuff, up through Scarecrow. Hopefully we'll get a remastered catalog soon.

I love Mellencamp, but the new song doesn't do much for me. Cuttin' Heads didn't do much for me either, but there are 2 or 3 stand out tracks on it. I think his first album for columbia a few years ago was the last great record he did.
