The notorious former boss of the Gambino crime family is dead at the age of 61.
Why even though he's so bad would it seem so cool to make a movie out of his life? Wish I could say something more sympathetic but I can't.
The Teflon Don couldn't escape cancer.
I hope he didn't bother packing flannel shirts or ear muffs.
First, Mike Tyson is knocked out, and now this.
To paraphrase a quote from The Crow, "its a bad week to be a bad guy".
I, too, wish I had more pity for the guy, but considering his activities, I don't. He may have turned Ozone Park into a party zone on major holidays and done nice things for the kids, but when you also arrange murders, racketeer and do various sundry things like that, your bad outweighs your good, and Gotti's bad outweighs his good. At heart, I'm sure he didn't like what he was doing, but... Sincerely, John "I'll leave it at but, since I don't know how to complete the sentence" Kilduff
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Scott, they did.
Letterman had a great quip tonight, saying he was the first in the family to die of "natural causes".
Hopefully, he's in hell right now.
nah. he's in mobster heaven
Darn it! There goes my pension!
What I found interesting and disturbing is that the NY Daily News had a 16 page Wrap of the Main Section on Tuesdays Edition. I am not sure what the point was ... was it to honor a murderer or was it for .... ?!?!?! Only in America ...
What is even scarier is that one of my clients is literally 2 blocks away from Gotti's Ozone Park Social Club hangout.
Had to go to my client this morning and there is traffic backed up on the avenue ... which there is never any of.
And then I realize that evereyone is looking at the building where he hung out and now people are leaving flowers and messages. I didn't even know it was there.
I asked my client about the Mob ties in the neighbourhood and he did not answer back ...
Next to Gotti's hangout there is a butcher shop named JOE THE BUTCHER ... so if you guys don't see me on the HTF anymore .. you know where to look
Good riddance, Gotti. I will not miss you.
