this show is starting to rub off on me. I did not like it at first but now i am coming around. I Bill's ramblings to himself...reminds me of Swearengen talking to the indian head or a whore.

Yeah the Situations are odd enough and the characters colorful enough , it's like for monatary reasons they transported the cast of Deadwood to LA and made them surfers. It's got me hooked now I'll stay with it for the season.

I turned a co-worker onto this show, and we laugh ourselves silly quoting John's lines (even personalizing them for maximum effect).

I thought this was the weakest episode by far.

So is this show a Deadwood meets Carnivale meets Six Feet Under? The John character is starting to remind me a little of Ben Hawkins.

I like the show, although I still have no idea what's going on.

The weakest actors are Sean and Kai. I think the 'actress' that plays Kai is an actual surfer.

The character of Link is the one that perplexes me, what is his angle?

Vietname Joe got messed up by what John had him do to heal John.

Bill is still yapping at Zippy.

Who knew Shaun's mom would have a long career in porn.

Grandma was hysterical in her over-reaction to Tina's presence.

John in the wrestling ring was a highlight (sadly).

This show is doing nothing for me...I am intrigued by what the hell the show is about exactly, but I think one more episode an I'll say goodbye. I love Ed Oneill...he has kept me in it this long

I have started to fast forward through parts, such as Bill's dialogs. Not a good sign. :frowning:

I think the quirkiness of this enthralled me and the wife for the first 4 eps or so, but last weeks seem to be spinning it's wheels a bit like they had an Idea but now don't know what to do with it. Bill's opening scene with the bird realy served no purpose other than to get Ed O Neill a scene. I'm sticking with it but I'm starting to lose patience.

Gee, Ed's lines kill me. I'm having a blast with this show.
Lots a slang ALA Deadwood, but that's Milch.

Hmmm, do you have the names of the videos that Shawn's mom shot?

LOL

I'm still having trouble with Dylan pulling the strings, everytime he's on I'm transported back to 90210. He's playing the same character.
