Joe Millionaire 2 the twist (1 Viewer)

The twist is that there is no twist. The show will be the exact same as last year, with the women believing "Joe" to be a millionaire. This year's "Joe" is a 'rodeo riding cowboy' who earns around $11,000 a year and lives in a doublewide in the midwest.

Oh, and just how were they able to pull it off again? By choosing women from Europe, where the show has not aired yet. Supposedly there is a strong love between the guy and one of the girls, but will she leave Europe to live in a doublewide in the US Midwest once she learns the truth?

I find it hard to believe that European women were not familiar with the Joe Millionaire twist. Unless they were from eastern Europe and they haven't got the show yet?

Either that, or the producers "misrepresented" themselves as being from The Bachelor.

That would be a twist. Get women from crappy, backwards countries who are already trying to solicit american husbands anyway.. change the show concept and call it something like.. "Hooked" and see if the right desperate-to-leave-poverty beauty can latch onto a spouse

Or... the show was filmed at the same time as the original Joe Millionaire was filmed in Europe.

Yeah, I'm thinking that as soon as FOX realied what Joe Millionaire was becoming, they quickly launched this version and filmed it as the final episodes of JM were showing so that the women were basically sequestered before news spread all over about the twist of the original show.

It looks like Paul the butler is back, so I don't think it was simultaneous.

Perhaps filming of JM2 was done in the gap between filming the first one and the airing of the first one before the news of the "twist" was made public.

Of course they could find women in Europe who hadn't heard of it, especially if they called it something else.

From what I understand, JM2 was not given a green light until near the end of the showing of JM1.

Well, I don't see how they could pull off another JM without their "host" Alex McLeod. She made the whole show, IMHO.
