I don't think there was ever a problem with calling it "Jet Set Radio". I just think the marketing people a)thought Americans were too stupid to get the joke, and b)they wanted to emphasize that it had skating in it

According to IGN ( Link Removed ) The name was changed due to Trademark confilcts in the US.
