Hello, I am so pleased to finally be registered and enterting my first post. I have three questions. I run a small Jem site and participate in several Jem forums and the same questions keep coming up so i decided to seek answers from the people here.
1) With Season 1 & 2 being released in later March and Season 3 part 1 being released in September there was one speculation that Season 3 part 2 would be released during the 4th quarter. It doesn't seem likely but has anyone heard any chatter about the release of Jem Season 3 part 2?
2) Sales. Does anyone know if the Jem season sets are selling well, particulary Season 3 part 1?
I'm most curious about Season 3 part 1. These were not the most popular episodes of the series and with the price ($49, usually on sale at AMAZON but not always at that price at the retail stores that do carry it) and it only being 3 discs many of the fans I have come across plan to skip this set and get Season 3 part 2 which has the Stingers and more popular episodes. I bought this set of course. My fear is if too many people skip Season 3 part 1, there may not be a Season 3 part 2.
I read the piece today on Married With Children being held up to clearance with the music and it made me wonder.
3.) Are the Jem season sets priced higher than most television shows because of issues with clearing the music for DVD?
(Season one is list price $59, Season 2 list price $49 and both sell for that price on the Rhino site last check and the two times I did see the Jem sets in stores they were at retail price. Season 3 part 1 is only 20 episodes I believe.)
I don't know. I mean you never know. The Jem season sets seem to be along the same price as the G.I Joe sets and maybe they are priced higher because of nostalgia they know we will buy them.
Any insight will be great.
