I have what may be THE last box of Jello 1-2-3 in existance and I am wondering should I cook it and enjoy it...or see if it's worth something. I mean..people DO bid on some of the goofiest stuff!!!

I did an Ebay search and none showed up, so I leave to you, my fellow HTF'ers....

Wow...I forgot all about that stuff...Depends, what flavor is it?

Tony, Jell-o 1-2-3 is the Jello that when it cooled, it would up having three layers. Cool and kinda odd.

Seriously, you could probably sell that to someone who collects Jello memorabilia...

Try looking in collectors books, etc...

I sold an old opened Mdonalds Happy Meal Toy from 1985 for $50 to a McDonalds collector in 1999...

Yeah, people collect crazy stuff. Of course, to the Jello collector, collecting DVDs might seem equally strange, so I suppose it all depends on perspective.

Jello has an expiration date on it and so does Ensure. I once opened a can of Ensure that was very old and it came out lumpy.

I think Jello would be ok, isn't it made of something like Horse Hooves or was that glue. hehe

Wow, If it's Strawberry sell it to me!
I loved the stuff when it came out in the 70's.

About 8 or 10 years ago,I ran across some Jello 1-2-3 in a store that sells discontinued and surplus stuff. It was marked in English and Arabic on the other side. I bought a number of boxes and eventually used it up.

I found that you can take regular Jello and use cream instead of cold water and get a 2 layer effect that's pretty close to 1-2-3. I still think 1-2-3 is better.

I MISS Jello Pudding pops sooo much. It was like a part of my childhood was mercilessly destroyed when Jello production.

They show you how to make em yourself...but I would rather buy them to remember the frozen chocolate smoothness I remember.

And, after a bit of searching....

    Sigh.

Jell-o is not made of horse hooves, that's an old wives tale. It is made of collagen, which is extracted from the bones and hides of cows and pigs.

    Jell-o urban legend

    Yep..the "Red Kind"!!!!

As far as expiration...it's sugar and chemicals..should last through forever.

So...eat or sell? Only one vote and that's for "Sell"

    Sell.

Nostalgia factor aside, it probably won't taste that good if you eat it anyway. But, someone would most likely pay you a good bit for it on Ebay.

Then you could take that money and go buy some fresh Jell-O.
